If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. No big deal. It's stupid and it's a waste of time to act like you aren't when you know you are.

Best Answer

Yes.
I think so.
When I'm wrong and I know I'm wrong, I don't mind saying so.
Sometimes it's easier to admit than others.
And I don't think I'm wrong in saying that.

I will respond from work perspective:
It is never easy to admit you're wrong but i learned it is always best to admit it.
And ba<x>sed on experience, it's sometimes even better to bring up the mistake before it's discovered by others so corrective action can be taken immediately. It's always hard.

Very sadly I go thru it every now and then (meaning, I make mistakes every now and then, sad) but I just trust my experience and admit it and take corrective action if within my authority. Bringing the mistake out in the open leads to better resolution; more importantly, if 3rd parties may be affected it gives your own team better leverage to act or react the right way. If you don't, that leaves your team (especially your boss!) unaware of the mistake and end responding the wrong way, which in the end, will get back to you and it's still you who gets the blame, just worse.

Using the same logic, I am very wary of officemates who deny accountability and deny mistakes they obviously made. It is always extra work to fix and prevent a mistake if you have to figure out how the mistake happened in the first place. So for future projects I already know who to trust and not.

Basically, just own up to your mistake.

Best Answer

"I'm wrong." Nope, it's easy. Hard for me to be sincere about it, especially since I'm not wrong often.

Best Answer

Yeah, it's a learning process. And if I identify why I'm wrong now, I have a significantly less chance of being wrong later. You know?
