is it for a man to give a married women diamond jewelry as gift. this man is an old friend of the woman and has not seen or talked to her in 10 years and the they only spoke briefly for a period ten years prior to that. they were childhood friends.

Actually is not a problem, but if I was the woman I would ask my husband first if it is ok for him too...people are different and think different.

I think it is too extreme but I would let her have it if she wants.If nothing else,you can always pawn it to get some cash if your running low.

If this fellow was a close old friend with no romantic interest in my wife,I wouldnt say no to it. I will be honest though.......It would probably bother me alot. The reason being that I cannot afford to give her such gifts myself. Okay, call it pride, call it ego, call it what you will. Its just that I love my wife very much and there is nothing I wouldnt do for her or give to her if I could, and it would just rub me the wrong way if another man gave her something that I want to but cannot. Does that make any sense?
