Is it good for me in the long run if I stay a sort-of-prude?

Q&A Home   >  Community   >  WTK

When people talk about hooking up, it makes me kind of uncomfortable, since I have no experience in snogging, or kissing, (or relationships) for that matter. As a 17-going-on-18 year old, passable looking to somewhat cute looking girl, I kind of feel like a freak of nature.
Is it good for me in the long run if I continue to abstain from these activities, and wait?
Or will I land in the forever alone bin?
Honest opinions are welcome. Don't worry about hurting my feelings, I'm a tough cookie.

Just let thing happen naturally. No need to rush but no need to stand waiting in the corner either. Highschool has limited chances and people are constrained by the close circles. College is a whole new universe and you will find that things are much easier in that department.

    Lol! forget the 'alone bin'!
Considering that 'the long run' is only a couple or few years away, Yes it probably is. There's no hurry for you. (relax) :)

It is great to be a nice girl and to wait until you find the right guy.

people these days tend to give it away to easily and miss out on developing meaningful relationships. I don't think being a prude is the answer, but perhaps being more discerning about who gets it will benefit you in the end.

I really don't think it matters, either way. Do what you think is best for yourself.
