You have got to be kidding me? What has religion got to do with morals? Morals and religion are COMPLETLY different things. Because one is an aethiest or believes something different from another, doesn't have anything to do with ones morals
perhaps not
moral decline and the rejection of religious values could both very well be the effects of a greater cause in the big picture
christ is still going strong and will continue till the end of time into eternity. Many are called but few are chosen, those who respond will be chosen. Yes rejection of christianity does show in society. God does not change the old and new testament are just as reliable now as they were back then. It's too bad that society today is taken in by the lies thanks to false peophets and government corruption. When i sing oh canada it's just not the same. "in all thy sons command" all i can do is be faithful and live in the spirit and the holy spirit will do the rest.
WhiskeyBent said it. Don't be a slave to the stigma associated with certain words, titles, or syntax. Think for yourself and dig deep enough to find the Truth. The world needs Love. Christ taught and made himself an example of true and undying Love. He is the foundation, and all other good, moral, and valuable thoughts and actions spring forth.
Many "Christians" nowadays are not living or feeling the image of Christ and God. Does that make the quintessence and truth of Christianity false? No. These people are lost, possibly unwise, and are wearing the facade of Truth. Don't be foolish enough to completely associate them with Christ.
There are even some things seen as not love, but really are for the greater good, which is for love (and not in the name of rationalization; some things truly happen for a reason to protect from something quite worse). Don't take things at face value and get lost in the bog.
Advice: Don't only open your mind, but open your heart as well.
May God bless you all and may peace reside in your soul (and hopefully you see that I am not just saying that or being cliche).
THE DECLINE IS DEFINITELY BECAUSE OF A LACK OF MORAL FIBER.WHATEVER RELIGION.RIGHT AND WRONG HAVE BECOME RELATIVE,THERE ARE NO ABSOLUTES.
CHILDREN ARE TAUGHT THEY ARE A BIOLOGICAL ACCIDENT .THAT BEHAVIOR IS NOT WATCHED BY A LOVING CREATOR THEREFORE LIFE IS WITHOUT VALUE.
RELIGION HAS BECOME SOMETHING YOU EITHER DESPISE OR PRACTICE ON THE DAY OF WORSHIP AND PUT AWAY TILL THE NEXT ONE AS PEOPLE ARE ENCOURAGED TO KEEP IT OUT OF PUBLIC VIEW IN CASE SOMEONE BE OFFENDED BY THEM SAYING GRACE OVER A MEAL
OR PRAYING FOR THE SAFTEY OF Pla<x>yerS ON A FIELD OR DRIVERS IN RACE CARS. OR GOD FORBID TO HELP KIDS LEARN AND DO BETTER ON TESTS.
OBEYING THE LAW IS UNCOOL, GANG LIFE IS COOL, MOM'S WON'T TURN IN HER SON FOR THEFT BECAUSE SHE'D HAVE TO GIVE UP THAT NEW TV HE BOUGHT .JUST DON'T ASK WHERE THE CASH CAME FROM AND YOU DON'T HAVE ANY RESPONSIBILITY
NO ONE HAS RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS AT ALL ANYWAY.THEY ARE POOR, THEY ARE SPOILED RICH,
THEY HAVE NO EDUCATION ,THEY ARE OVERLOADED WITH STRESS FROM BEING EDUCATED
THEY ARE ADOPTED,THEY WERE ORPHANED, RAISED WITHOUT A FATHER, RAISED WITHOUT A MOTHER
YOU KNOW HOW IT GOES....
It has more to do with the decline of human decency. Treating all human beings as human would be a start. If more Christians lived like the Amish do, than they could claim that they exhibited real Christian values. Remember that Christ lived by the"judge not, lest ye be judged" rule. Christ accepted all people no matter how flawed and socially outcast they were. He loved and forgave everyone. That is the true Christian value that has been forgotten and needs to be applied. Hatred and intolerance are not Christian values.
The Christ-God died in the Occident long before Nietzsche said so.
The so-called rejection of Christian values is a symptom of the moral decline in our society, not the cause.
you're basing this claim of moral decline on your christian values, which makes your claim true in relation to christian morality by definition. But christian morality is not the only morality. And I think it's pretty clear that the slow rise of secular values over christian values has greatly improved society since the dark ages when christian morality was completely dominant. Morality is relative to your values, so really you're making a nonsense argument. but I will point out that crime rates among atheists are actually far lower than among Christians.
No coincidence at all.
No. I think it´s very important to have Christian values. I´m inclined to think it´s the time of the coming of the Devil! But looks like people don´t really care! Sad!
There is a strong and direct correlation between the degree of Christianization of society and its prevailing moral health.
