idk. Why does he not want you to be his FB friend? It might be harmless or he might be ashamed of you, which is not ok.
For what it's worth, my husband is Muslim and I'm not. I'm all over his FB - everyone on there knows all about me. So I don't see any connection between his religion and his disinterest in friending you.
