Is it possible to fall in love over the internet? I have a friend who claims this has happened.

Okay, so THIS is a question from one who has had the experience... ME! My advice... Run, Sally, RUN! I met a guy who I actually had checked out by someone on the police dept. and another checked him out via "government" ops. Everything "SEEMED" to have checked out. Ended up getting married and THEN I REALLY FOUND out just who/what this "person" really was.
Again, my advice...."RUN, Sally, RUN!"Like (2)

He is a liar, cheat, and a coward all rolled up in a nice little "package"... (*smiling at the "package" comment :p ) And all of those qualities above made him not only a deceiver but an abusive one.Like (1)

I've heard of it happening to others, but you have to be careful nowadays with the Internet

Yes, it actually happened to me and we were able to take it from the internet to real life to moving in together. We're still very happy together.
I wouldn't say it happens all the time, but it can if you meet the right person, put a lot of time into the relationship, communicate frequently, and have enough love and trust in each other. And of course, Patience.Like (2)

My ex sister in law is happily married to a guy she met on the internet. He came from America for her to Australia and they make a great couple. I also have another friend who met her (now) husband on the internet. It's weird but they have really, really happy marriages. Maybe people have the time to really get to know each other on the internet in a way that they don't in real time, I don't know. But there you are.

It is actually. A bit like the love letters that used to be exchanged via couriers and footmen between the lady and her love back in the middle ages ~ "courtly love" where no lips connected until they were mad with passion and ready to commit to matrimony. lol..Like (1)

Sure sometimes it is.
But odds are that it doesn't work in the long run.
You really need to meet someone and get to know them face to face first in order to see if your relationship translates into life in the real world.Like (2)

Sure it is. Or you could end up like me. I haven't dated or anything in like 13 years now. LOL. But like I said, you feel what you feel.Like (1)
