YES! You can fall in love at any age, as long as you live.

You have to find it within yourself first and when you fall in love with humanity and life it will find you.

Yes, my parents unfortunately split up when they were in their 50's and I know my dad was in love with my step-mom when he married her.

I think so. And the best kind of love, actually.
You already know what is best for you.

REAL LOVE? Of course you can find real love. Love is eternal and all we have to do is let ourselves find someone good and love them

I don't see any reason why not. You've got ten years on me and if me and Mrs Tarq spilt up, I wouldn't have the faintest idea as to what I would do to find another partner - pub crawling, Salsa lessons...?
I haven't done that sort of social interaction for the last 18 years and I have no idea about how to meet somebody who isn't already married with kids, without appearing to be somewhat creepy. To be honest though, I've been in long term relationships since I was 22, and I'm not sure if I would want to be in one again for a while - if me and her split up, I wouldn't be rushing out to fine a replacement for a long time, I sort of feel like I would need a bit of 'time-out'.Like (2)

To be honest im not sure ....its not just an age thing, i think people dont commit to relationships as much as in the past. im 50 but not really looking if it happens it happens.
I think chances increase if you join clubs, groups and go out and meet new people.Like (1)

If it helps elixabelle, I have just recently decided to try love again. I am older than you. I volunteer at several Councils on Aging. In the past 4 years I have witnessed seniors, 65,75,85 +, Gay and Lesbian seniors as well, meet, fall in love and marry or just co habitate. This love seems so pure and free of the insecurities and doubts we all felt as young lovers. Am I good looking enough? Am I interesting enough? Will he or she honor their vows. None of those things concern them. It's the love that is importatnt. Accepting each other and enjoying each other's company. They are such an inspiration and have played a huge part in my decision to try again and maybe again after that. Love belongs to ALL of us. At 51, you have a lot of lovin; to do.
