Is it possible to learn a psychic ability? If so, how and which are easier?

I wouldn't think it couold be learned. But... I do think you can develope intuitive abilites. Mainly that's observation and memory practice. Just practice. See someone walk into a room and immediately try to recall everything about them, etc.; this strengthens (for lack of a better term) recall and your 'gut". Doing this more often helps develope the intuitive sense we are all born with but tend to ignore.

As for other abilities. I really believe some are just born with the genetic marker for it, or the genetic tendency.

Yes, but I wouldn't recommend it. I am psychic off the charts in many categories, and now I'm trying to GET RID of my abilities (unsuccessfully so far). My advice is to be happy as you are, and just "don't go there". I've also just become a Christian, and am told that anything psychic is demonic--if that's the case, then I'm in some deep trouble!!!.

I believe we are all born with an innate capability to experience more than what the five senses are able to relay to us. To begin, start paying close attention to your intuition (as a previous answer mentioned). You probably know how to meditate. Make meditation a part of your daily life. I also read a book called You Are Psychic by Debra Lynne Katz which ultimately led to being able to "see" as I would call it. It can be a frightening experience to "see" if you do not take proper measures to protect yourself with the light and positive energy. It is not something to be toyed with. It is a shame that a previous answer is filled with so much fear that the individual is trying to turn off such capabilities. I really do not think it is possible to "get rid" of psychic abilities. Anyhow, it takes a bit of practice to tune in to what you have naturally. I would not try to seek out any sort of "easy" way. The easy way to do anything usually leads to being taken advantage of.

No and yes. No, you cannot "gain" any abilities you do not already possess.... but most people possess all of them and never simply tap into it. There are many techniques for doing so. I hope you will understand, however, that I cannot (or will not) share that information openly online... such things require mentoring, and would be dangerous to the student and the local area to attempt unmonitored. My advice? Find some local circles nearby, people who would be willing to train you. When the student is ready, a master always appears.

Well, I was going to answer in much the same vein as Drumsong has ~~ I would just add that having no 'agenda' apart from helping others and never imposing your own will or opinions when, for instance, doing a reading of any kind for anyone (not that I'm suggesting you would but it is a good thing to bear in mind) and acting for the highest good of all concerned is the best way to go ~~ also, I would suggest that from the way you phrase the question, it sounds as though you are empathetic, anyway: if so, you can certainly develop that ability; or any other ability you already have.

In my understanding, all people have (or have had) psychic abilities. They just need focussing upon (as in training, like anything else). Sometimes one has a "karmic block" due to an ancestor's misuse, that has to be tracked down and removed before the ability can be developed; others may find upon examination that the information enabling psychic ability of some sort has been stolen, and they have to release the karma for that and get the information back.

Some people who are very talented at psychism today have had ancestors who spent lifetimes developing the ability, such as lives spent as temple seers in ancient Egypt. That does not go away - just has to be revitalised (if you have the DNA-based information in this embodiment).

I have spent some time in this life developing an ability to use a pendulum (a kinesthetic tool) to "test what is true for me". I have to say, that the integrity of the tool will depend upon your own integrity to your Soul and soul-purpose. Using such an ability "for the good of all concerned" is paramount to receiving correct answers, besides the use of good techniques.
