Is it possible to say things out of anger and NOT mean it? OR..?

...is there always truth to the remark ( it's just not something you'd ever admit unless you were pissed).

I suppose there is always an element of truth but consider this.. how many times have you thought you believed one thing or felt a certain way only to discover that you were not looking at the big picture in any way? We all say things we don't really mean in anger and when we're very angry we are focusing on a detail usually.. not the whole thing. When we see the whole thing that detail is often no longer important so what we thought we might mean was incorrect.

If you're dealing with someone who is nice when sober and nasty when drunk, I would RUN - not walk - in the other direction. People like that are just bad news.

Depends on what it is I am saying and who it is to. Usually, no, I do not mean what I asy when I am angry, and I do not believe that most people do.

most people quite often do such things
then some regret and apologize
the rest regret - or some do not - but never apologize
and so on

then everybody has bad memories
broken lives
sad relationships
wasted time

i don't know why
psychology is important
self-control too
respect of the others too

People say things they know will hurt the person they are arguing with when they are angry.....

It doesn't mean it is true or how they really feel at all.....

Yes, a person can say things they really don't mean when venting. But you do bring up a good point about there always being some truth to a remark. It may be something that you haven't even figured out yourself. You may have underlying feelings about the subject that you hadn't discovered were there until after you voiced them in a fit of rage. That has happened to me. In the process of getting something off my chest when ****, realized that I actually felt much stronger about the subject than my conscious mind had previously acknowledged.

Plenty of people, in fact pretty much everyone, says things they don't mean in anger. "You are an idiot, stupid" "you are a liar" "you try to start fights" "you are selfish" "you are arrogant" "you are immature" "you are cold and a *****/*******" "you are boring and close-minded" "Youi are not who I married" "you are a psycho" "you are over sensitive" "you are insensitive" "you are rude" "you mess up everything" "you are ruining my life"
Do you really think that person really means that/ That's what making up should be for, setting the record straight.
