Is it right to wish harm on horrible and harmful people?

With so many cruel people in the world... do one become cruel, if they wish for those people to be wiped away from the earth?

Sure it is, what person out doesn't hope that someone "gets what's coming to 'em". Laws are there to govern our actions (not our thoughts), and if we violate them, then we, in turn become the horrible and harmful ones...

It's hard to say if it is right to "wish" harm on someone. Because wishing never got anybody anything. But to cause harm to other people, no matter how horrible a person they are, is indeed wrong. If they are so bad, karma will get them eventually. You need not step in.

I think hate is what keeps you from moving on, truthfully, after you have been hurt. I am a firm believer in karma, for every action has a consequence. And the hell they talk about ,mean people bring it upon themselves on this earth. And in the big scheme of things that´s what I call justice.

Of course it isn't right. It is, however, human. We are defined by the choices we make, not the thoughts we have, after all what is temptation but thought(or thoughts)? It is what we do with those those wishes and thoughts that define us.

I dont think so go back and read my experience with my mother-in-law. I did not have to wish for anything her years of cruelty has came to an end. Karma what goes around comes around.

its fine to think it just not to act on it, i have found that bad people tend to get what they deserve in the end.
the man who abused me when i was a child is very ill now, and he is only in his fortys so i think that says something.
i know people who have repeatedly cheated on the partners and done a lot of bad things in there life, one of them now has ms, the other has had testicular cancer.
although i would not wish any of these things on my worst enermy, i think it just goes to show that people get punished by the bad things they do in life. its karma.
what makes you the better person, is never sinking to the bad peoples level.
we all think of it sometimes just dont be as bad as them and act on it lol.

Tough one..... I think it is a little wrong, but only human to do so. I found that if you just let them be, they usually get what they deserve down the road.So I try not to let them bother me.

Better wishing it than doing it, lol.

I desperately wanted someone who hurt me and flipped my entire life upside down to suffer, they got away with it scott free and didn't suffer any repurcussions. Meanwhile, it took a very long time to rebuild things myself. Unfair, they should have been the ones to suffer and feel rotten.

BUT.. The best thing for your own spirit and state of mind is to have an even better life for yourself. Horrible people hate seeing the ones they hurt recover from it and go on to enjoy successful lives :)

well...technically they do deserve it, in the amount that they've harmed others.

But does that mean that those horrible things should be done to them? Well... then the person administering the harm would be bad also, unless it were necessary to preventing the person from causing more harm.
And the person wishing harm has those negative intentions as well, so I would say it's not a good thing to do...but again, they sort of deserve it, so it's not as bad as wishing harm on some innocent person, but it's still wishing harm.

I do not think that its wrong of someone to imagine harmful things to happen to cruel people. It is an ordinary thing for all people to wish bad upon those who have shown cruelty to them or others who are loved, but it does not make it right. Wishing harm upon someone does not make you a better person. No matter how much hatred you have towards someone, always try to save your energy and passion for something that is worth your time, not on thinking of harful things happening to someone who you disapprove of.

Yes I believe one to would be cruel, because they are wishing harm therefore having harming thoughts. Instead you should wrap your arms around this harmful person with love and forgiveness. Treat people the way you want to be treated (even if they aren't treating people that way). I think its harmful doing people who are suffering from some pain themselves and keeping it inside so they lash out on others b/c its the only way they know how to release those emotions. Its these people that need kindness and love, wish that upon them, i'm sure they are experiencing enough harm as it is

it may not be right but i think most people do want to see people like that get their just desserts, and i believe that eventually they will. what goes around, comes around.

No, you can wish all you want. It's when you choose to act on it that you can get in trouble.

I don't think so. It's nobody's place to judge no matter what anyone has done. People are human and whether they do harm on purpose or by mistake, it's human nature. We all have the capability of doing great things as well as bad things and when people are able to accept that then maybe we'd have a lot less conflict/hate crimes. A brutal deed done to someone who was harmful doesn't even things out. Only way I can see it being justified is if it was to save someones life, not done to justify a personal opinion of what's right or wrong.
