Is it safe to have the mirena and Implanon at the same time?

Ok...so I already have the mirena, but my doctor wants to try the Implanon. The mirena does nothing for hormones. Its just a piece of plastic. He want to try the Implanon cause I have cysts on my ovaries. But I really do not want to get pregnant at this time. Thats why I figured....keep both in...double the protection.

All birth control that uses hormones, carry a risk....I can only imagine it would be extra dangerous....that's a lot of hormones being combined....Please check with your doctor....and research on your own....I don't know why you'd need two, anyway.
