Is it still common courtesy even though it gets rarer by the day?

" ..... it gets rarer by the day." If that isn't a sad statement, I don't know that is. It shouldn't be rare that people extend some common courtesy to others. It shouldn't be rare that people step up to help others. But in the society we live in, which is so self-centered and selfish, unfortunately, it can definitely be the case. Which is why it's so refreshing when common courtesies are extended. It's nice to know that not all good manners are dead.

I still see it as such.
While people may look at me strangely for exercising it, it should be common, and I'll treat it as such, in an effort to inspire those around me to make it common again.Like (2)
