Is it too much to ask to have someone who really understands what it's like to be me?

I'm 17. I have Asperger's Syndrome and A.D.D. (Attention Deficit Disorder, not to be confused with A.D.H.D., Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). I like to be creative, and retreat into my imagination a lot. I love reading, and creative writing.

Everyone wants someone to understand them...
Reading allows you to escape to another world,
writing allows you to pour out you feelings..

That's true! I do like being me, it's just that sometimes, I wish I could talk to someone who understands me...

maybe you aren't explaining yourself through body language well. they are sub-consciously picking that up.

Not really alot of my friends are the same way i even have my own problems but I put them aside and show the brighter side of me. I suffer with everyday depression and am not on medication so i can be a real downer sometimes but i still have plenty of friends. :)

No it's not too much to ask. There is a perfect match for everyone, even several. It's just difficult to find this match, but it's not impossible.

It's not exactly a match I'm looking for, just someone, a friend, to talk to.

Ah. Well that should even be a bit easier, shouldn't it? So my answer is still that it's not too much to ask.
