Is it true that I'm not allowed to see my father until I'm sixteen?
My father abused my sisters sexually when I was a baby. He was sentenced to 12 years or more in prison but only served around 6 or 7 years. My brothers are 16, I'm turning 14. We've been speaking to our father for a year now. My brothers are going to visit him at the end of the year, but my mum said I'm not allowed 1. Because he's a sicko 2. Because I'm a girl and 3. Because I'm not 16 yet.
My mum says that in the Australian law, you can't see someone like him without proper supervision until you're sixteen. He's not living in the same country as us and my mum isn't interested in seeing him. Nor is my elder sister. I just want to know if this is true.
