Is it true that with age we get more accepting of the things that really affect us and depress us now?

I really would like answers from people who are older. I just can't see how I could be depressed how I am now or worried about the things I do now for the rest of my life. If I do its not gonna be a great life. So I just wonder if someone who actually had some bad things happen to them like do you ever really truley accept the things you cannot change about yourself. Bc right now I feel like I won't ever be able to accept what is affecting me. But surely i can't stay like this forever. Im not sure what I just said makes sense but some personal experiance would be really cool if you wouldnt mind.

I'm not really sure what your issues are.

If they are from within, you CAN learn to deal with them better, or work through them and let them go. It takes work, though.

If they are from without, you can learn to deal with them better, or the internal issues that are making you stuck in a place that leave you unhappy. Again, it takes work.

Many people dont improve with age. They dont know how to, and cant be bothered. I am a great believer that you have a choice in life as you age: you become bitter, or you become better. It's really up to you.

You work on those needs and perfect yourself. All the other bullshit is just not worth worrying about anymore and you learn to let it go- Rated: +1Vote for this!
missteri	Posted Jul 17th, 2009 at 9:26PM I have had some pretty bad things happen to me, and I have been truly depressed. I have been able to move on from this, and even accepted that the things that happened to me, have made me who I am today. I am a generally happy person, who has an interesting perspective on life.
