Well in the Bible it does say not to cut the skin.

Leviticus 19
28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.

A tattoo is created by a combination of cutting the skin and and putting marks upon it.

A lot of people when they get older regret getting tattoos.

Leviticus 19:28 says do not tattoo your skin,I am God.
That is how it reads.

Some versions say do not cut or ink your skin.I looked at about 10 different ones and the message is the same.It is understood what God was telling humans. But it isn't my life, she is just asking if it is a sin in God's eyes and the answer is a resounding YES.

If you accept the Bible's point of view then yes it would be wrong.

It's not wrong. Some people just very very much dislike them. A guy wouldn't date me once he found I had ONE tattoo.

Best Answer

Wow, that is ridiculous!

Best Answer

My thought exactly. I chalked him up as being too close minded for me.

To me,its not a religious issue at all.... I just can't figure out why people mutilate their bodies and risk hep. and other deceases .

I, personally, don't think so. Some religions and creeds forbid them. There is also the common stereotype that getting a tattoo is reckless and irresponsible. I would personally get a tattoo, but only if I was 100% certain of what I wanted and had reflected on it for a least six months.
Also, if you are planning to get a tattoo, make sure the person giving it is reliable. Ask to see some of their work. See how clean their workstation is, and how often they clean their guns. And fresh needles are a must. Re-using them is very dangerous.

If she's your true friend she will focus on "YOU" on the inside and not your tattoo's. I'm quite certain the Bible says over and over not to judge...and it seems that is what she's doing.

Live your own life.

Best Answer

No. There's nothing wrong with getting tattoos. Your friend needs to grow up and realize it's not the outside that counts, especially in Christianity, but what's on the inside. Smh

They're not a sin. It does say that you should treat your body as you would a Temple, but there's nothing wrong with tattoos.

A Temple can have stained glass windows. Those are tattoos on a building. They can also have graffiti which can be either pretty or ugly tattoos.

It's not a sin though. And besides, it's YOUR life. Do what YOU want,.

But your pregnant. So I don't recommend getting a tattoo right now.

Best Answer

nothing wrong i'd say i prefer tasteful myself but to each their own

Best Answer

God said your body is a temple and you must not defile it in any way. So yes, it is wrong to get a tattoo or anything else that damages it.
