Is it wrong to only have tolerance for your children?

I'm babysitting my friend's girls and I find myself not as understanding and to be quite frank, annoyed at there antics.

I wouldn't say it's wrong. At times, that's all I have for my kids. Parents are people too and it's a very hard and draining job. At times they fill me with joy, other times they annoy the crap out of me. Sometimes I can't even muster tolerance.

But, when you have your own, their "antics" are something that grow on you as you've seen them since they were babies. Things that may annoy you about your friend's kids, your friend may think are adorable.

Babysitting is all about tolerance. You don't have to love them. Just be nice to them.

My nephews just left after being here all day so I feel your pain. :)

If you mean you are easily annoyed by other children compared to your own, don't worry about it. I feel the same way about kids when they are my own family, I can handle their crying and whatnot a lot easier than if it's some random persons kid.

YA - You shouldn't be babysitting for your friend if you have no tolerance for them.

All kids are different and in all likelihood your friend is just as put out with HER OWN kids as you are.

She probably needs a break.

You need to talk to their parents about it and see if you can set up some discipline for them.

I can understand how you can feel like that..they can get on your last nerve..but yes it's kinda wrong. *hugs*
