Everyone (except for criminals i guess) want criminals to pay for their crime.

Definitely. I also believe laws should be stiffened with severe penalties for any kind of drug offense; for gang violence, and actual gang membership for that matter; crimes against children; crimes committed by bankers trying to squeeze the last pennies from the poor; any crime committed by poiticians. And I believe the death penalty should be in force in every state and meted out in a timely fashion.

No it isn't, provided you actually target the criminal, and the punishment at least fits the crime.

Oh yes it's terrible to think let alone expect an alleged criminal should be held accountable for anything..I mean it's the fault of the person, place, or thing for being in the way of the criminal's pursuit of happiness in the 1st place.

Of course not. I believe they should be punished. If it was them that actually committed the crime. It sucks for those wrongly accused though.

No, that's why we have laws in place. If you do the crime you should do the time, and pay the fines.

Not particularly. But it's wrong to think that punishing criminals fixes anything or prevents future crimes.
