Is knee surgery worth it?

one knee for sure needs replaced but at my age, I don't know how to go on. Torn ACL's among a million other things wrong with them.

Yes, at your age, well worth it. You've got a lot of good miles left. The recovery will be difficult and painful, but make sure to follow through on your physical therapy regimen. One leg might end up a little shorter than the other (only an inch or two) That's the one thing I've learned that they don't tell you about knee replacement surgery.

AT YOUR AGE????? you are listed as 36-40.............It would be well worth it, my uncle is in his 70's and has remained independent because of the knee replacement! Go for it!

They are minimally invasive with short recovery time nowadays.

yes it is worth it. a family member of mine had knee sugery. she was thinking of moving b/c she couldnt climb the stairs to go to bed. after surgery they took their house off the market and were very happy to stay.

According to my father-in-law, no... of course he had to have them both done at the same time. I hear it's less invasive than it use to be.
