Now a good question. It is all of the above.
I believe some peoples brains are 'Better" wired for love, some are not wired at all for it.
Brain biochemistry, spiritualism, hormonal, obsession, lust, jealousy, etc all of them combined. A balance of all. If any of these emotions gets too strong then love will go wrong, ie some jealousy is ok in a relationship but not irrational jealousy.
Sometimes you can loose the crush, it if you get busy, (find another interest). Sometimes no matter how hard you try to distract from the person you have a crush on, you cannot get her out of your mind. A problem I have right now, someone I will never meet, the crush has been years. Gave up trying to get rid of if. Figured if I feel better I will find something else to wish for.
Same with guilt. I fell guilty about hurting animals when I was a kid. So people can turn this off. If I could I would not want to. People in the medical profession have to turn it off. People that do nasty things do not have guilt. Feel sorry for them not feeling. To bad we cannot send a signal into the bad peoples brain and turn on guilt! That would cure them all, unless they get on from the guilt! Yes people can be turned on from killing and being nasty. On sick guy, killed and eat a woman he has a crush on. He said he felt she will be with him forever! Is that love?
So now that I have made you sick did this answer the question?Like (1)
