If a lie, or permitting a false impression to go uncorrected, or with-holding significant information results in someone being hurt or wronged, then it is definitely wrong.<br />
You have every right to keep your personal details private if it is not the other person's business and right to know. <br />
This is prudent when you don't know people well, at work, and in small gossipy communities. <br />
But with a significant other, it is usually best to tell the whole truth and nothing but.
