It's really impossible to know if it'll be beneficial in the long-run. Who knows? Maybe there will be some amazing discovery, like how to isolate the gay gene- or perhaps we'll discover how to engineer natural blonds.

Either way I'm sure there are shameless bastards planning to make a profit off of it, and scientists who are excited to press the limits.

I wouldn't know the answer to that one but I did see a human ear growing from a mouses back a few years back when I was taking bio 20 they used stem cells and honestly I don't think that using stem cells is such a great idea since it is made from human embrio's like killing a rhino for it's horn. I think that they need more research on the matter if they could create body parts form one cell of tissue that would be cool. Rated: +1Vote for this!

People already have the choice to select the gender of their child for a neat $20,000.But then again gender can be important if there are hereditary predisposed to illnesses with a specific gender. So in some cases it can be beneficial but also a huge money maker. Rated: +1Vote for this!

In it's pure form, it's science, do you want all science to stop? In a perverted, money world [reality], yes some WILL profit but if the result is good, why not? Does anyone begrudge farmers for earning money by what they do? Capitalism is the dominant economic system, and that' how thing s are! Rated: +1Vote for this!
