lack of its i stressful for sure ..then I don't think it is the be all and end all of happiness as there are plenty of examples of rich people who are unhappy ,

No way. If it might suit you to live a life of dedication, get thee to a convent or a monastery, give up all worldly goods, own nothing. Money will needed but it will be a necessary evil. You will have to join the work of fund raising for the group. Your happiness will derive from your dedication to the activity of the group.
I say this, not from any experience of living without money, but from my experience of always living with enough money, but being happy only when I had something to be dedicated to. Happily I do have it now.
Your mileage may vary, but I can be happy only if I have a purpose in life.
