alone it isn't that great, acquired taste is putting it nicely.
If you can afford a quart or even a pint to mix with it its much better.
Keep in mind powdered milk has risen in price drastically as well.
If you are one of the pore souls living in the New England milk co-op states you are fairly well screwed for a good price on milk; Powdered or Fresh.
it's an acquired taste.
one place i lived, we mixed powdered milk with real milk to stretch it out. maybe it tasted a little bit better
It has less flavor than regular milk, but it's ok.
Had it when growing up. Mom even tried mixing it 50/50 with real milk to get me to drink it. Even went so far as to put it in regular milk cartons. I could tell by the taste.
Still don't like it.
Never gave it to my kids. Would cut back on something else.
I don't even like the taste of "low fat" milk.
Also can't stand fake butter.
IDK I have never had powered milk but I say give it a try.I would assume it will taste close to reg milk.
i dont trust powdered milk anymore . U neveq know what they put in it
I personally don't like it. Tastes pretty watery/cardboardy. I remember it from when I was a kid. It isn't bad when used in food and tolerable in cereal.
I don't like it, it's ok to cook/bake with though.
Any food banks near you?
not always...depends on the food bank.
we give out bread, fresh veggies, sometimes milk is available and cheese (limited quantities - get there early) find out what day your food bank restocks so you go the first day after restocking.
