All sex is, imo, is an added bonus. It does not make or break a relationship.

I would reword that.. a good relationship makes for a healthy satisfying level of intimacy for two people who are in that kind of relationship, of love caring and affection. With any decent intimacy comes sex if both are capable as not everyone is of up-keeping to it. Depends on the two people and what they want and need.

Without any intimacy the marriage starts to break down. Humans have a great need for touch. In fact in some large orphanages around the world where there is not enough staff to give attention to all the babies, many of them just turn there faces to the wall and die. This is why there are so many people here on E.P. are members of the group I live in a sexless marriage. Then when you read there writings you can feel there pain.
