I don't understand how people can believe it is literally true, the whole thing. Like it's word for word from God, because it's clearly not. If you try to pretend it's true then it doesn't make sense. The whole thing becomes meaningless nonsense if you try to believe in it. God however is real, but he is not represented well by most of the bible.
I don't believe it's the word of god. It's the words of men. And conveniently changed when some ruler doesn't like it, or some splinter sect doesn't like it either. Just more politics in a compact book form.
the following is just my opinion, so don't read it if you are a gullible fool. the first book, genesis makes no sense it prattles on endlessly about making the world in 6 days, IF it had started with god made a ball of fire and placed man planets around it and caused it to circle them on an elliptical course and he named them....... and on the earth he created life and gave it a moon to enhance that life etc etc then in the early days it would have looked like a fairy tale and struggled to get very far but in time it would have been proved to be factual and we would all believe the same thing, pretty much, god has allegedly stepped in to fix things in the past, frequently, the ark story, is a case in point, god said we have free will then when it wasn't going his way he drowned everyone, so not compassionate and a liar, then in 1914 we reached a peak in in our ability to kill each other 140,000 no not a typo one hundred and forty thousand men in one day, and god bats not an eyelid, but 2000 years earlier some people had too much butt sex (soddomites) and he turned lott's wife into stone because she looked back! maybe if he had made butt sex less fun there would have been less of a problem, any god that can't see these errors is no god of mine!
No it's all true.........ask any snake!
no...its the Truth...and the Truth shall set u free")
Oh, no. No way. If I write a long book thing tomorrow or yesterday. You would take it as gospel. Yeah .
There are many historical facts in the Bible. Its a combination of history and allegory.
