It's all about freedom and not being controlled by the government and archaic minds

Heck yeah.

Absolutely because the Drug Policy reform going on in our country right now is just to right some wrongs of past law-makers. Some, not all drugs have been deemed illegal for ulterior motives by the gov't. Marijuana/hemp in particular was posed to replace lumber as an affordable and renewable resource in the early 1900's but due to businessman influence on our economy and gov't at the time, lumber became a booming industry and marijuana was determined to be an illegal controlled substance. So the people fighting for the Drug Policy Reform are asking the questions and making a good argument for marijuana to be legalized when it has been deemed an controlled substance by people who have no credibility in their determination of hemp. To answer your question, yes what they're fighting for(not just marijuana) is just like any 'rights' movement that people have bled and died for.

A good answer indeed.

Best Answer

No, its kind of the opposite. Control of drugs and the drug war on people is all about MORE government control. Rights for drugs would mean LESS government.

Those other campaigns wanted MORE government, not less.

Best Answer

No, some people are not rational either.
