I personally recommend that you get yourself a GRE Study software application and work hard. You really have a lot riding on how well you do on the GRE. If you score well, you can still choose to attend the local state university. If you score poorly, the choices are taken from you.<br />

When I took the GRE, I had been our of my undergraduate program for over 20 years and it was essential. If you recently graduated you may be able to get by without studying, but if you are old enough to earn a Masters or Doctorate, shouldn't you be mature enough to take it seriously and study for the GRE?
