Is "The Simpsons" still funny?

I mean the current, or latest series.

I am an animation geek. I have watched "The Simpsons" since "The Tracy Ullman Show" where the quickie animation was stuffed in right before the show went to commercial break.

The following year after their debut, the show was introduced. I have seen every episode, either first run or as a repeat. There are 20 staff writers. I have always found it funny or at least entertaining.

It is a pop culture time capsule, relevant when each episode airs. There was one year when the writing was lacking. Otherwise, always a laugh to be had.

When South Park released "The Simpsons already did it", this should have set up a yellow flag. Although I enjoy watching some of the earlier classics, the latter seem to be missing some spice.

Mildly entertaining, but not particularly funny. Groening is basically beating a dead horse right now.

WELL DUH IT IS ITS THE BEST FRIGGEN TV SHOW EVER . FAMILY GUY IS SECOND BEST DUH AND SOUTH PARK IS THIRD BEST. SIMPSONS IS ******* HILARIOUS

I would say most definitely NOT...The so called humour is often pervy...like adult...and mostly stupid...I'm glad you asked ...because it has been annoying me every time i can't find the remote!!..Doaahhh!!

I thhink the original was funnier. My favorite show is south park - Oh Screw you guys - I'm going home.

Yeah its still funny to me, just not as funny as it used to be...but i still enjoy it either way..
