Yes there is! I used to buy the store's own brand all the time.

Then once I was somewhere having snacks etc. and asked the hostess what that special sauce was.

Yes. Some are more tomatoee (tomatoey?). Others are more vinegary.

Why don't YOU go do an official taste test and then let us know!! Go to your nearest store, buy all the different brands of ketchup and Catsup they have.. line them up and taste and rate! Then post your results. I'd be curious to see how many different kinds you find and if you do taste a difference!

Cook's Illustrated ranked Hunt's above all others. And it's about 75 cents cheaper than Heinz. So we buy Hunts.

i don't notice a difference that's why i buy the cheep stuff.

my grandmother swears there is one and only uses hunts i guess it's about how sensitive your taste buds are.

We use Generic Brand TOMATO S A U C E as it is cheaper!
