We are an animal, just like every other creature that inhabit this rock. Our primary function, is to procreate our species. The main difference between us is intelligence. We therefore strive to improve our lives and the world we live in.Its obvious that what each and everyone of us do, makes a difference. I do love the way religon raises its head everytime a question like this, is asked! as if it had anything to do with it!
It depends, you are given a life. So what you do is basically up to you. Some people treasure life, some people destroy it.
As to your second question. It DOES matter what you do each and everyday. The reason why you're at where you're at and think what you're thinking is because of your past actions.
an example of this would be:
A guy meeting the love of his life during his last semester in a college class.
If that guy were to never even graduate high school, things would've never ended the way it did.
Even the smallest and simple things determine your future. Like what if the girl decided to choose a different class, or even hour? They would've never met.
It may seem like I'm everywhere with this answer but yes what you do now, determines what happens next.
it certainly matters to your own spirit and spirits of anyone who cares about you or has a relationship with you. is there a meaning to life, all i think is that you can ask and imagine and believe anything you want but NO ONE knows.
The meaning of life is that there is no meaning, we spend our entire lives trying to forget that fact, by doing all kinds of things (religion, work, friends, love, sex, drugs, music, movies, setting goals for ourselves, trying to improve the world, making money etc. etc) that distract us from our one most primal fear: death, the end of our life and existence, wich is meaningless in essence.
But that's okay, pretending life has meaning and inventing meanings for it for ourselves is what keeps us going and not comitting philosophical suicide en masse.
It is for each individual to give 'meaning' to their life and set a goal for themselves in accordance with their own capability.
What one does each and every day should be in line with the goal that has been set or at least it should not be contradictory.
Life is to create meanings. To create meanings, we must first dare to dream.
What you do each day does matter because someone is watching you, or looking up to you. Just my opinion of course, but I think it's important to try our best at what we do. There is always someone who is looking to each of us for answers, or for assistance. Ask God to help you find meaning in your life. :-)
it probably does
If it matters to You, then it matters.
What does your conscience say?
