Is there a religion that looks to science?

Is there such a thing as a religion that actually looks at what we know about reality and learns from it to focus its concept of spirituality. Or is spiritualiy something of the past clinging to old ideals?

I'm not familiar with one. Those (like Baha'i) that claim that they do don't really. They pretend, but they do not dare venture into the science that suggests that their God isn't real. They do not understand the beauty of equality and do not grasp "one".

    Religion defined as practice.
A scientists religion might be the study of space and physics, or possibally chemical reactivity.

I don't believe science can be a religion. It's just science.

religion refers to a "belief in, or the worship of, a god or gods or the service and worship of God or the supernatural.

science is usually a proven practice and spirituality is usually impossible to prove but both are useful in the upbringing of people in the world

Your more progressive churches tend to do that. Most Christians I know believe in evolution, the standard model, and the basic scientific theories that we use to describe reality. They then make the remarkably simple step to say most of the Bible is allegory and that science is the method by which God runs things.

Yes, it has faith in both science and religion, if that's what you mean. I can't remember what it's called, I think it starts with an 'S'?
