I've known this guy for 6 years but only been dating him for 2 months. Since about a month ago I keep thinking about it and want to say it when we're together but I don't. Sometimes one of us will slip up and say it when we are excited or drunk, then the other just gives a funny look (like, "oh yeah?). I think we both want to say it but aren't sure if it's too early. I think I am going to say it tomorrow because he is going out of state for a week.

not really. It would be odd to do so within a couple of weeks and probably not a good sign for the relationship if you still haven't after many months/years.
