yes, the explanation is: life is not fair and if god exists, he/she just does not give a flip

A lot of people suffer because bad decisions others suffer merely by coincidence

Bad things only happen to people who define events that happen in their lives as "good" or "bad". Before we learns these concepts, like say when we are 2-3 years old, sh1t just happens to us. We fall down, smack our heads against tables or get bit by a dog. We cry, we get p1ssed off, we heal. There is no "bad". Until of course, Mom and Dad start teaching us how "good" and "bad" we are. Then the events in our lives have labels. Bad things must go away, stay away, and only good things remain.

This is why the average 2 year old is more intelligent than the 20 year old. They do not complicate with distinctions and agonize over what might/could/should happen. There is no good and bad.

They merely live in fearless bliss.

Agreeing with emperorofcali. it is your perception of good and bad. You are mearly percieving these things as bad were someone else can see it as a good thing.

To be broken hearted is bad Luck, inless that is, you see it as a learning curve to becoming a more life educated and freer person. That then would make it a lucky thing.

To worry that your enimes or people you class as shouldn't be getting good things purley puts you in an unlucky place.

People that have good things mearly see the good in a bad thing. There is always something to learn and to grow from bad experiences.

Your heart must be broken before love can get in.
You must cry before you can truley know what happyness is.

kinds simplistic view that it's punishment for bad deeds, if that's the case, was the majority of the population of vietnam evil? were jews evil? are people in darfur evil? nagasaki? ridiculous
bad things happen to bad people is a convenient way of raionalising it, compartmentalising it, someone gets mutilated by a serial killer, the mind needs to find a rationale, it needs to place some order in the world some explanation for extraordinary events. In the past a woman who did not conform to societal values was labelled a witch- this was a more convenient way of thinking about them, compartmentalising them, rationalising their existence. The " bad things happend to people who deserve it" is a handy way of permitting us to exist with some comfort. It does not stand up to any kind of analysis - see my examples above. I do believe in karma, but not on a simplistic you stole my bike , you break your leg riding it level. Merely from the point of view that negative energy is not healthy and will take it's toll on you.
so if you're happy and you're ok - that's great
and if you're not- don't let anybody force you to shoulder some sort of blame to make themselves feel better. you figure out your role in events ( if any) and make the necessary changes etc

There, there. It's just your god, testing you. It'll all be good, in your afterlife...
