Is there anyone out there who believes that they were more mature than the rest of their graduating class?

I didn't graduate.

I don't. My Class of -'86', was a hoot!

Well, I was deeper and less superficial--I was about important stuff and not trivial stuff, I was more genuine, I was kinder, I was more tolerant and less judgmental, I was more ready to change and more flexible.
However, I had never done any drugs including alcohol or cigarettes, I had not had sex, I had not had a whole lot of fun as I had had no real friends(you know, no one that invited me to anything, like their house, or a party, or a school dance, or anything like that. no one that called me on the phone). I did not understand socializing very well.
In some ways I was more mature and in some ways less mature. I grew up sheltered and it was absolutely horrible so I would never shelter my own children in the future.

I wasn't. I was very immature. At that time when we're so young what difference does it make. We all grow up and mature at some point.

I graduated in the second-from-the-bottom quintile in my crummy public high school in a racist segregationist Southern town. So I wasn't much more mature than anybody!

I haven't graduated high school yet, but I definitely think my grade is less mature than I am. I'm a freshman, and I'm way over the whole drama scene and all that, while all the other kids sit around and gossip. They act like I did in sixth grade, I swear..? I'd think people would get over the Abercrombie and Hollister stage and stop talking with the words "like" and "ohmygod" in every sentence, but they haven't. I guess you can't expect ninth graders to be nice and not catty, I always just feel like I'm way older than them, it's pretty weird..

I was the only human among apes

At the time I thought I was, but when I got to college, I learned that I still had a lot of learning and growing to do.
But I still think I was more mature than most of those idiots.
