Depends on what you clasify as progressive, in most religions the idea seems to be on being a good member of the community, doing charitable work, believeing in God and doing good deeds. This could be classified as progressive if it leads to eternal salvation (if you believe in salvation).<br />

But if you mean progressive in a way that does religion move with the times, then probably not.

Sometimes, I suspect. But it's usually balanced by an entrenched conservatism and need to protect itself from an interior change. The B'hai(sp?) concept sounds interesting, from what I've heard of it.
