Is there anything your mom or dad would say that would make you cringe?

I eman that you hate hearing which is an expression they frequently used. My mom used, "It's complicated" which really meant, "It is a big secret and I refuse to tell you, you are too stupid to understand or not worthy enough to know it, or I am embarrassed or touchy about it"
I hated that she used the word "cranky" to describe me even when I outgrew childhood too, and how no matter what meat we were eating regardless she would always say it was "tender" every time.
So any overused phrases your parent/s used that used to really get on your nerves?

Yes. Whenever I wanted to do something, I'd ask my dad for permission. Inevitably, he'd say, "Go ask your mom".
I'd go ask my mom and she'd say, "Go ask your dad."
Subsequently, it took forever to get answers.

Anything my mom would say about other drivers when she is stuck in traffic.

No joke, she seriously said that whenever a guy was acting like a jerk. It's kind of hilarious, but the fact that my mom is talking about p.enises is gross, lol.

My mom used to yell "Son of a *****!" a lot. When I was little I used to cringe because that meant she was super angry.

If I asked my dad for something and he wasn't going to do it he would go "Oooooh."
