Is this guy jealous of her because she does not need his approval like the rest?
What would cause him to do things to offend her, keep her from friends activities, insult her, and have up and down behavior towards her? when they stopped talking, he hates her so much that he wouldnt want to talk to her or be friends with her. He is with someone else now that he is very close to and who makes him. She was not romantically involved with him. But as a friendly gesture he once mentioned that he loves her. but not like a romantic love. he use to do things for her as a brotherly gesture. she never really cared for him to be helping her too much. she's pretty independent. Now the friends that use to talk to her, stopped talking to her and creating a clique for themselves. the girl was not a threat. at first he was very nice with her,and helpful. then suddenly he does this. she was just polite. he has maneuvered things to make her isolated and make her belittled.she's not tied with him at all. its just he goes out of his way to have this. when they stopped talking, he hates her so much that he wouldnt want to talk to her or be friends with her. he already has his wife and close friends. it was sudden the way he did all of this. they seem to worship the guy.

That sounds like a "classy guy" he may of been just doing nice things in hopes she was going to magically open her legs for him and when she didn't he let his true colors show.
