and if you mean that people were less sexual until mass media came round then you should take a closser look as far back as americas founding fathers jefferson now discovered to have had children with his slaves

in the 50's and 60's before media was as mas as it is today before all households even had TV's people were engaging in sexual activity before marriage and then when the pegnacy showed up they got married

As for media making people more sexual i think it simply highlights the sexual activitites that have gone on for years behind closed doors

if you are refering to the idea that mass media makes young people more sexual i've heard kids themselves say this however when they do they sound as if they are simply parioting what adults have said to them or around them and it is more likely peer presssure and things they see in their own home coupled with the large quanitity of those who have been abused and seualized too earely
