Women LOVE being told that they can do anything, and that they don't need to answer to anybody..... But HATE being told that they need to rein in their behavior, or that they can't do something.

Yes, of course. Think about it, isn't that what you'd want for yourself: autonomy, and as few personal restrictions as possible ? Women are human beings, too.
