Good for you!!! And I'm the same. Why? Because I have years of life experience and EXCEL in crisis mode (it's like all 8 cylinders are firing!). :-)

My experience has been the opposite. I always figure I would lose my head and freak out in an emergency, but I am usually extremely calm during the crisis. It is later, when it is all over, that I go to pieces and cry and shake and lose control.

i find no matter how you look at it, it can seem to be different later. in hindsight all is 20-20, paradox. Have fun making a difference.
