Is your culture important or not to you and why?

Well, I stated that my hubby should be proud of his culture. He told me that it wasn't his culture. I asked him if he knew what culture meant, he didn't know.
He sure was chompin' at the bit to argue about something he didn't even know the definition of...
I think everyones culture is important and precious. I love learning about different groups. I think there is much to learn from one another! =)Like (3)

It is VERY important because there lies my real identity. I always go back to my roots from time to time.

I have my very own culture. A mixture of all sorts. It never crosses my mind, but is always important.

It doesn't feel that way to me now, but I'm sure once I've lived in other parts of the world, my own culture would seem much more important.

Yes, my culture is important to me. I am proud of where I am from; of our literary, musical, cinematographic and even sports achievements even if they're no very famous worldwide. I also love my country's food; the music/festivals scene, and people's attitude - that is, not taking ourselves to seriously, because we're such a small country!

Not important at all but then Australia doesn't exactly have much of a defined culture.

It isn't important, but it is pretty good still; Concerning equality and other people's rights. But I would be willing to move some place else. I don't know, what importance of culture really means, so I had a hard time answering.

Important? I don't know.
I definitely appreciate and respect it, as well as many others and open to learn about more cultures.
There are aspects I don't like either, and I also don't respect how society stereotype certain engagements of certain cultures; different cultures share some of the same interests and attributes however groups and individuals forget this.
What's important to me is to think and analyze my lifestyle and decisions independently, I never ever could handle following another person, or a cultures philosophy.
