All parents, including mother in laws, think that their outdated views still make sense. Poor dears, they live a time warp. Sometimes when you have a MIL, you just have to nod and smile. Does she have another sister in law, that you can giggle about her with?

Best Answer

Of course not. Your first marriage is merely your first mistake...not one you intended, but a mistake nonetheless. Move on and sooner or later, hopefully, you will meet your true love. Oh, and never believe your mother-in-law; their interest lies only in the happiness of their daughtrer. And above all, who in the hell cares what Prince Charles says...he foolishly divorced a beautiful, kindhearted and caring woman so that he could marry a big ugly horseface...he is clueless.

I was trying to remember what type of wedding he had when he remarried !!!! His ex partner was dead, and I think he married in church, so maybe that was the reason why. Please comment on what I actually wrote.

I am not Catholic, but in that religion, you would have to have it annulled. By law, well it certainly is real, as long as you got properly divorced first.
ps. perhaps you should not listen to your MIL.

My first marriage was my only real marriage. My second was just a ******** till my drug addicted wife went nuts.

Catholic church says marry once.

Marriage is what you make it. It is a legal acknowledgement of two people sharing their lives together. You decide not your mother in law.

Marriage within the Church of England is allowed just the once. They donot allow you to remarry if you have been divorced, you can have a blessing but that is all. If your ex partner is dead, I think you are allowed then, not really sure, trying to remember what Prince Charles had.

So depends if your religion accepts re marriage after divorce.

mother in law probably can't remember how miserable she was when she was married.

Mother in laws are famous for knowing nothing. It's their gift.

Forget that! My second marriage is FAR more a marriage than my first one was.

I don't believe that...my ex cheated with my best friend and had a kid. I refuse to believe that the man I want to marry now is not the real deal, cause he is way better than the first. I was young and dumb.
