Resolved Question

Is your god "testing" you?

Is that a bit like, testing your dogs faith in you, by beating him, and seeing if he still loves you, regardless?

I am a precious jewel on his heart and he has made me brilliant. He does not test me. He loves me even when I fail.

I found that we lived as spirits in a premortal existence before coming to earth. We wanted to progress, and this happens by coming to earth, gaining a body and experiencing all the emotions ...love/hate,pleasure/pain/grief/hot cold/hunger/worry/peace.....etc so we could learn (none of the negative emotions exist in Gods Kingdom)
We need to experience them so to be able to appreciate them........a bit like going to school....we dont like it but we know we need it to get a good job.

When we have experienced all that we signed up for....(yeah I know, I think i signed up for too much too!)
we return hopefully with diplomas in hand and move on to the next stage of growth.....nothing is stagnant in our Fathers Kingdom. No I dont believe in reincarnation.....do you finish high school then go back to kindergarten to start over.....no you go on......

I think he's testing me right now....with your question. I don't beat my dog when he does something wrong, I just punish him. If he eats from the garbage when he already knows it's bad and he gets sick I'll let him suffer the consequences of his actions. I might give him something for the discomfort, but he'll still feel the pain before the medicine kicks in. That is, if I can get it down his throat.....

That's a good question. I haven't given it much thought. Is yours testing you? And don't say you don't have one, because if you go look in the mirror you'll see him.

Maybe it's more like punishing your child when they do something wrong. But I personally don't think God "tests" us. I think He has far greater things to do for us but we just don't really know what they are exactly.

God has tested me and found me wanting. Now I don't see him anymore.

Your analogy is ridiculous.

God allows us to be tested and tempted....It is our choice, what to do with it.....and our choices, will determine the consequences....

Everyone always wants to blame God....there is evil in the world, too....and God is actually the answer, not the problem.

Your analogy was messed up. Lemme guess. Life has been cruel to you and you are bitter?
I love how when things go good in people's life, they MIGHT give God the credit. But when something goes bad, they are so quick to cast the blame. I praise him through rain and shine. I've had my ups and downs.

Everything bad that happens in people's life is really God's way of strengthening their spirits and making them more resilient people. We learn best through trial and triumph. Not happy times.

God is helping those who help themselves.
He teaches love, so He wants us to love. If we do not thankfully make painful sacrifices, then what is the kind of love we keep on uttering with our lips?
All loving mothers, loving saints, loving servants in any Cause...have suffered the most. He who suffers not for love is clearly a hypocrite.
So, when we happily do the commands of God, we pass the tests; when we refuse to do His commands, we suffer even more without knowing why. Then some other lazy hypocrites interpret that the unknown sufferings are karma, destiny, social injustice, and so on...
