Both of my grandmothers have passed on.....One was a good cook, however, it felt so cold going to her house for get togethers. She never showed any emotion. She would cook glazed ham and all the fixin's....baked pies and desserts...you name it....

The other one was a horrible cook....lived on the farm, boiled cow tongue, or her idea of sloppy joes was ground beef and some ketchup....that's it....very limited....but, the minute you got there, she was at the door, slobbering all over you...hugs, kisses.....I'll take that sloppy joe any day of the week, and twice on Sunday.

Mmmm, have tried to make it myself, but it never is as good. My grandma used to make cream peas with pearl onions, again.....can not duplicate ! Rated: +1Vote for this!
