my idol in cartooning is Walt Disney - he's dead.
my idol in writing is JK Rowlling - she's still alive.

My idol was always my older brother and yes he is still alive, since then I guess I've grown up and added my Mum & Dad to the mix. Other idols for me tend to be real people that I know in my life that show me a way of living to aspire to or demonstrate a skill that I could master and use professionally.
