It's not at all encouraging, but take it with a grain of salt. Several of my former teachers and my "guidance Councillor" suggested I explore non-academic studies, and as it turns out, I've gone further than they did.

Go to Khan's Academy online and then you can't be good enough. You can do ANYTHING if you put your mind to it. I don't put my mind to math though because of a bad experience I had with my stepdad in the 3rd grade involving math. I just don't care for it.

my daughter was told the same by her Business Studies teacher... She dropped out, I taught her at home and she passed! never take no for an answer.. where there is a will, there is a way!
