Isn't it funny how people dream of winning lottery all day and really think they can make it last when they cannot even

manage their small income well enough to make it grow?

Getting rich is hard... But it is even harder staying rich for a reason! So if people cannot manage their five digits a year income, they certainly will never be able to manage multi million dollars.

What you say is certainly true of the "Nouveau Riche" however, having done private duty many times for folks with so-called "old money" i'd like to think I would have the sensibility to petition their advice. Certainly I do have a couple of extragances in mind, but they are not friviolous nor unrealistic. People with "old money" enjoy their wealth and are generally pretty well grounded.

Exactly! It take special breed to be able to maintain the wealth over long period of time. I'm sure those people do spend money and have some extravagant in their life, but they don't just go out and do stupid things like many people who are trying to win the lottery are thinking of. They know what they are doing and often try to make every pennies they spent count. They would never go out and buy a big screen tv on impulse just because they want one. But many people who aren't from "old money" would think "oh well I have millions, what difference do a few grands make?" and that very mentality is exactly why they're still working their day job and wrestling with their budget.

You're right! But I don't know if it's entirely my fault. Money burns a hole in all my pockets--which explains why I can't be trusted with keys, either!

The lottery is a tax on people for being bad at math.

Yeah just imagine how bad it would hurt when you crash... You'll have tasted the forbidden fruit and you know you'll never get it again and have to live with it for your whole life. Oh also don't forget you'll never be able to trust any of your family member or friends again.

Well...I'd choose the 20 year pay out....going thru 20mil a year is not likely.
