In the UK (not a particulalry religious country - last survey I saw was that a max of 30% of people go to church or are actively religious). We have historical Sunday trading laws - nobody seems to know why. they put restrictions on what and when you can buy things
Not sure if the law has changed but it used to be that you cannot buy a "book", BUT you can buy a "magazine". So by lay it was illegal to buy a bible (book) on a Sunday, BUT legal to buy **** (magazine) on a Sunday.
Shops cannot open to sell things until 11 am as well. OK I dodnt know that many people but everyone I know and have spoken to about it says if you have a shop and want to open and sell things, and you are a cursomer who wants to buy things - the law should butt out and let you do it. Sunday trading laws are out of date, out of time, and out of touch with society.

Most sane countries have rules that allow a lot of leeway where both parties are underage or near the age of consent.
**** is really something else. Sex you have under 16 is not going to be anything like ****... some **** is actually illegal, and with good reason.
The US has some especially crazy age limits and the UK has been polluted by it. afaik nowhere in europe approaches the level of restriction we have on alcohol, cigarettes, ****, any of it.... freedom my arse.
