It is a little too much when a male friend keeps saying u deserve things?

Have a male friend and if i go shopping, he says i deserve to go shopping, if i have a day off or have a lazy day off, he says i deserve it. It is just me or he coming off as too keen? He was interested in me but i'm not. I have spoken to him about it and things r gud now but he keeps dropping in comments like 'u totally deserve a day off' Its too much for me!

He is buttering you, thinking that it will improve his image in your mind. If you really aren't interested in him as more than a friend, then you should say it straight to him.

i have told him i wasn't interested. He was fine about it. He does go through phases of telling me i deserve things. I work shifts, if i have a day off that happens to be during the week, he tells me i deserve it, but why? its part of my weekend!

It really sounds like the message that you're not interested has not gotten through to his mind... he still believes he's in with a chance, if he plays his cards right.

Maybe he's just trying to be nice. A "yes man" sort of person.
